Group Program Policies
These policies apply to all group lesson students, including but not limited to: Team 1, Team 2, Team 2B, Beginner (B), Intermediate (INT), Intensive School Competitive (ISC), and any other groups formed in the future.
General Communication Policy
All communication regarding group lessons must be done via email - info@gao-badminton.com. Phone calls, verbal communication, or in-person conversations with staff or coaches will not be valid.
Registration and Payment
- All group lessons must be paid in full before attending.
- Junior HP team training (T1, T2, T2B) are by invitation only. Lead coaches will send registration links directly to selected athletes. Failure to register by the deadline may result in forfeiting the spot. Any uninvited or unauthorized registrations will not be allowed.
- Unregistered students may only join if there is space; Gao reserves the right to turn away any unregistered student.
Drop-in Policy
- Drop-ins are accepted only if space is available. Jr. HP drop-ins require prior approval by lead coaches and coach Grace. Drop-in guest players are to pay the training fee.
- No discounts (e.g., early bird, sibling, internal) apply to drop-in students.
- Payment is required prior to entering the court.
Make-up Lessons
- Maximum 2 makeup lessons per term, regardless of reason (e.g., illness, injury, weather, travel, exams, personal events, private tournaments).
- All absences, whether excused or unexcused, count toward missed lessons.
- Missing the final class of the term without room to reschedule: Class will be voided.
¹ High Performance Team Restructure (Effective July 2025): Team 1 - Combines the previous Team 1, Pre-Team A, and select Team 2A athletes; Team 2 - Combines the previous Team 2A, Pre-Team B/C, and select Team 2B athletes.
Makeup lessons must be:
- Rescheduled before or within 24 hours of the missed class.
- Requested by email only.
- Scheduled within the same term — no credits or makeups will carry over to the next term.
- If joining from the second lesson: 1 makeup lesson allowed. If joining after the second lesson: no makeup lesson allowed.
Full Registration & No Room for Makeup
If a student registers for all available group lessons at their level and cannot fit a makeup into their schedule, one lesson per course may be refunded as store credit, applicable only to private lesson invoices or next term's group lesson payment.
Tournaments & Lesson Conflicts
AJC Tournament Conflicts:
- Saturday group lessons during AJC events will be converted to tournament coaching/support fees. The lesson will not count toward the student's two makeups.
Tournament-Active Students:
- Eligible for 2 make-up lessons or equivalent store credits per term.
- These credits must be used within the same term and will not carry forward.
Substitution for Siblings
If one child is sick or away, a sibling may attend in their place, provided the child attending is in a similar level group.
Refund Policy
- No refunds issued after the second lesson of the term/course.
- No cash refunds at any time. All credits issued are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may only be used for eligible programs (e.g., private lessons, as specified), and have to be used in the next immediate term, anything left past the term will be forfeited.
Gao-Badminton reserves the right to the final interpretation and explanation of all group lesson regulations.
